The 4th Administrative Officers’ Forum held on 2nd - 5th July, 2024 at Hoima Resort Hotel

The 4th Administrative Officers’ Forum welcomes all Administrators deployed in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The Forum aims at providing a platform for discussion, training, harmonization, cohesion and ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency in the Public Service. The overall goal of the Forum is to tackle and discuss the challenges affecting the Administrative Cadre in Central Government to achieve the desired Goals in the Public Service. 

Administrative Cadre play a critical role of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting in Government and are at the helm of creating an enabling environment that promotes effective service delivery and ensuring adherence to the Public Service Code of Conduct because of fundamental role.

The specific objectives of the Forum are:

  1. To provide a platform for discussion, harmonization, sharing experience, cohesion and ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in the Public Service.
  2. To discuss and propose solutions to the key challenges affecting the administrative function in the Public Service;
  3. To guide Officers on how to build the Public Administrative culture and career development of the Cadre.
  4. To provide practical skills to Administrative Officers in selected fields of management;

The Forum will be crowned with a visit to the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Pump Station one, Kabalega International Airport in Kabalega Industrial Park and the Kingfisher Development Area oil Fields tomorrow the 3rd July, 2024. This visit is intended to appreciate the Oil and Gas Sector since the Country anticipates long-term economic uplift over the next 25 years or more as oil and gas revenue. 

The Forum will cover a range of key issues which are relevant to  roles forward and  will also address and share the challenges facing the Administrative Cadre.
